I've read this a couple of days ago, but i kept thinking about it and i wonder if i am the only person who thinks this woman is heartless.
TAMPA, Fla. - NFL player Marquis Cooper's wife is seeking a presumptive death certificate a week after the Coast Guard called off its search for the missing boater and two friends.
Rebekah Cooper filed a petition for the certificate Wednesday in civil court in Florida.
The Oakland Raiders linebacker departed from Clearwater Pass west of Tampa Feb. 28 in a 6 1/2-metre boat. He was with free-agent NFL defensive lineman Corey Smith and two former University of South Florida football players.
Their boat overturned after encountering rough waters in the Gulf of Mexico.
Nick Schuyler was found clinging to the boat two days later. The other men have not been found.
With the presumptive death certificate, Cooper's beneficiaries can collect life insurance and other benefits.
While her man was missing at they interviewed the heffa and there was NO sign of panic or sadness. But i was thinking some people just don't let their emotions show like that. She might have good hope they'll find her man .. so i gave her the benefit of the doubt. But now that i read the news about her seeking a death certificate after a WEEK i realise she must have been hoping they wouldn't find him so she could claim his money and move on with her life. I mean if your man is missing at sea and his body was not found i know you're still in disbelieve after a week & you probably still hope he'll show up or whatever. At least you're hoping for a body so you can bury him right? But Mrs Cooper right here does not care .. she wants his benefits & life insurance.
Wow .. how heartless can people be?! If he's an angel looking down he must realise now what a mistake he has made to marry her .. sad.
